About Me
My lifelong goal as a costume designer and creator is to approach everything in my life with empathy and inclusion.
I am a student at the University of Idaho working towards my BFA in Theatre Technology with a concentration in Costume Design and Technology. Some of my most memorable projects include Pippin at the University of Idaho and Hairspray at the New London Barn Playhouse, as well as many other plays and projects. I hold the 2023 IHSAA Drama Costume Design State Champion title for my work on The Addams Family Musical and the physical construction of The Moon costume from that production.
As a child of immigrants and a member of the queer community, stories that center marginalized voices have been of particular importance to me. The Forest Song, a beautiful Ukrainian tale by Lesya Ukrainka, was a passion project of mine for this very reason. As its director, costume designer, and stitcher, I poured over 120 hours into the project. I was able to raise over $800 for humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which went straight to school children and soldiers in need. In addition to this, I was able to share the rich culture of my family and show my community that Ukraine is more than its hardships. To me, theatre is all about that connection, inspiration, and sharing the human experience.
When I’m not working on a theatrical production, I serve as the secretary for UI’s chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology. During my rare free time, you can find me ballroom dancing, reading classical literature (I DARE you to ask me about Oscar Wilde), or playing D&D with my friends.
